Pulitzer-prize winning Knoxville author, James Agee (1909-1955) attended
St. Andrews boarding school for boys near Sewanee, TN from 1919 to 1924.
In October 1972, a weeklong conference was held at St. Andrews for
scholars, family, and friends of Agee concluding with the dedication of
the Agee Memorial Library.
