Abstract: This photograph depicts Italian immigrant Concetta DiGiorgio Meshotto (Miciotto). She emigrated to New York in 1911 with her husband and children. The family lived in Chicago and Nashville before settling in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, in 1916. Concetta opened the Busy Bee Cafe on the town square with her son Dominick and his wife Rose in 1926. Dominick and Rose Meshotto began running the cafe on their own in 1937 until they sold it in 1946.

The couple owned and operated Murfreesboro's Busy Bee Cafe on the town square. The Meshotto family emigrated from Italy and began the business in 1926. Rosa is posing with Connie outside of their residence at 1216 N. Maple Street.

Abstract: This pamphlet was enclosed in a letter from J. B. Brownlow to O. P. Temple, dated Feb. 11, 1891. The pamphlet is an Address delivered by Reb. C. J. Ryder, District Secretary, at the Annual Meeting of the American Missionary Association, at Chicago, Ill., 1889. It discusses East Tennessee and refers to its people as mountaineers or Highlanders and "our country`s debt to these patriotic Highlanders" during the Revolutionary War.
