The Jacob Michael Neff dulcimer also has 4-pronged flowerlike carvings towards the pegbox. The Neff dulcimer is much sleeker and has more pointed ends than the Cumberland Mountain dulcimer which has more robust and boxier shape. The Cumberland Mountain dulcimer was found in Putnam County.
