Title: Goldstein's Store Photographer : unknown Date Created: 1930 - 1965 Abstract: This is a photograph of Goldstein family's store at its location on the Murfreesboro downtown square. William Goldstein opened the store soon after he settled in Murfreesboro in 1886. He ran the store with his wife Dora until his death in 1930, when his son David took over. Upon David's death in 1942, the proprietorship transferred to David's brother Bernard, who ran the store until selling it to a national chain in 1965. Goldstein's Department Store finally closed its doors in 1982.
