At this time military vehicles were primarily civilian vehicles which were repurposed and repainted for military use. S. and F. which stands for Georgia, Southern and Florida Railway, part of the Southern Railway System that also acquired ownership of the East Tennessee, Virginia, and Georgia Railroad Company in 1892. Telford was a railroad station between Limestone and Jonesborough, Tennessee located in Washington County.
