Spring Hill Maury Co. Tenn. [County Tennessee] 3rd December 1847
Dear Sir:

I have on hand some twenty pieces of rope & bagging each, a new & good articles from the factory of Mr Jas [James] Lugh of Williamson .

As you are well acquainted with the quality, and learning that you were recently in want, I write to inform you that I will sell the lot at 5 per cent less than the current market price.

You will please inform me, on the receipt of this, whether you will take it.
