I this moment recd [received] your letter of the 28th Jany [January]:__Williams letter has not come to hand__ The letter I enclosd [enclosed] you from James R Franklin will give you some idea of the demand for slaves, they are at this time higher in this country than I have ever known there since I have been in the Trade, We are now preparing to make a shipment which will be third time since the [unclear: RT ] of Nov [November]. last, consequently you see that I shall have no difficulty in finding a place

for all I have on hand__ Your order upon the subject of your funds shall be attended to as soon as I can procure a check of the right suit for the philadelphia money market, having made use of the one you sent me, of which you shall be duly advised__ In answer to your inquiry upon the subject of mary & her child, I will only remark that you [added: can] have them for $500 [added: your friend] JM saunders
