Dear Sir

Excuse me for troubling you with this note but as I wish to start East about the first of August will want all the funds that I can possibly get you will therefore doe [do] us the favour [favor] to remit the amount of your account

Times have been so hard here this summer that we find ourselves almost unable to make our arrangements for the fall trade

we hope you will find it convenient to comply with our request and that we will receive a [unclear: centimment ] of you favour
