Know all Men by these presents, that we John Shelby & John Scott are held and firmly bound unto John [unclear: Gosset ] in the penal sum of One Hundred Pounds, to be void on condition that the said John Shelby doth with effect prosecute a suit, by him this day commenced against the said John Gosset otherwise to pay and satisfy all costs and damages that may be awarded for failure. Witness our hands and [gap] this 25th day of Aug. 1792
