Feby [February] 26 1849

At a meeting of the Board of Commissioners to superintend the construction of the state House, present Jno [John] M Bass , Wm [William] Brown , SD Morgan, James Woods and A A Hall, on motion it was

Resolved, that the Governor of the State be requested to issue Bonds of the State to the amount of Fifty thousand Dollars pursuant to an act of the General assembly of this State entitled "an act to continue the construction of the State Capitol" passed January 24th 1848 and that he deliver the same to John M Bass Prest. of this Round of Commissioners who is hereby authorized to receipt for the same"
