Summary:This document is a letter to Winchester & Cage from Hugh L. White, with a return message from Cage, dated November 16, 1812. In the letter, White asks Winchester & Cage to either return the lottery tickets that he sent them to sell, or the money they acquired from the sale of the tickets. Cage replies to the letter by returning the 50 tickets that were sent to them.

Sir,

Our desire, to bring to a close, the lottery, for the benefit of East Tennessee College, induces us, to solicit, that you will, as soon as possible, have your account settled, by returning the Tickets you received, or rewriting to us the amount of the money, for which you may have sold. [added: 50 tickets }]
