Summary:This is a valuation dated Dec. 12, 1814 done for Colonel Joseph Brown. It is evaluating the worth of the decedents of the slave, Sue, that was stolen from Brown's father in 1788 by the Cherokee Chief Cotetoy. These children and grandchildren, know as "Indian Negroes" were returned to Brown by Cotetoy in 1814.
