Received of Joseph Brown one Note of hand on William Brown for one likely sound field Negro Betwean [Between] the age of fourteen and twenty five years to be Delivered in Washington County of North Carolina which Note was given to me by the said William Brown on the 12th of October 1789 and Due the 5th of December 1790 and Was assigned by me to the said Joseph Brown on the 16th of January 1806 for Collection if he Could for which Collection the said Joseph Brown give me he his Receipt which Receipt I have lost or Mislaid so that I Cannot find it [added: at] this time given under my hand the Date above written
