Oct [October] 2/37 Dear Sir

Mr. Allen informed me that you wished to sell two negroes sandy & a girl. I suppose she is a likely girl. Sandy I know for $1500 It is more than I can give I will give you $1400 for them write me by Alford on the subject I would have been pleased to have seen you before I started but it is necessary for me to go by New Market tell Aunt Peggy good bye for me.
