In the Senate of the United StatesJanuary 10th 1812.

The senate proceeded to consider the motion submitted yesterday "that the senate do advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty made and concluded at Chickamaga on the Tennessee river , on the 2nd day of December 1807, between ( Return J. Meigs , commissioner on the part of the United States , and the chiefs and warriors of the Cherokee nation of Indians;" And
On the question to agree thereto,
It was unanimously determined in the negative.
