Summary:This document is a legal writ to the sheriff of Greene County, in the state of Franklin (Tennessee) dated 1787. The writ commands that the tenements of Abraham Purnut pay eight pounds, four shillings, and eleven pence. This amount was awarded to Charles Hays in the court of pleas.

We Command you that of the Good & [unclear: Challels ] Land, and [unclear: Tinements ] of Abraham [unclear: Purnut ] in your[unclear: Baclenich ] you Cause to be made the sum of eight pounds, five shillings and eleven pence [unclear: Beredes ] Sheriffs endorsed [unclear: ? ].
