This is a deed for land in Washington County, North Carolina. The land was purchased by William Ward and ran along the Nolichucky Creek.
State of N [North] Carolina Washington County Feby [February]. 25th 1778 No. 11. William Ward Entered Six Hundred and Forty acres of Land at the largest Bend of Little Nolichuckey [Nolichucky] Creek Running up both sides for complement for including two Springs supposed to be four or five miles up from the mouth begining [beginning] near the lower end of the Bend a true copy from the Records.
