He reports that Cholera is spreading through the smaller towns. William asks her to take the children out of school if people start getting sick in her area.

My Dear

All here are well__ I wish you would move to our farm as quick as possible the Cholera is spreading in all the little towns carried there by persons from the river__ look at the Republican of the 8th Inst. [Instant] you will see Dr. Drakes directions & attend to them so soon as the [unclear: Chimny ] is finished move all out there & have no communication with Town go nor send to any place where persons are suddenly taken sick
