after having authorized the raising a volunteer company in the 128 Reg [Regiment]__ J.M. in due form I have this day reviewed and received the same, under the denomination of the "Memphis Blues"

You will commission the same and give the order for their arms as provided by law. The certificate enclosed will give you the names of the officers entitled to commissions__ Given under my hand and seal at memphis this 11th day of april 1842
