Know ye. That John L Randolph a private of Captain George W Patrick company, in the regiment of Alabama Volunteers commanded by Colonel L G McMellion mustered into the Service of the United States the 19th of June 1836, and being now mustered for discharge by the Acting Inspector General of the United States Army, is therefore, hereby Honorably Discharged from the said service.

Given at Montgomery this 21st day of July
