Summary:This is a letter from Governor Archibald Roane to Henry Dearborn, dated June 18, 1802. Dearborn is the Secretary of War. Roane is writing regarding the Natchez Trace, an important road from Nashville to Natchez, Mississippi. Roane requests that Dearborn send new orders to a Colonel Butler that will allow Butler to open the road in Williamson County.
