Summary:	This document is an affidavit dated January 18, 1818, it is the result of the deposition of Jesse Terry, of Roane County, Tennessee by a justice of Knox County, Robert Lindsay. The subject of the affidavit is a "free girl of color" named Peggy Scott who was believed to be stolen from her parents in Roane County and taken to Georgia.
