| Summary: | This document is a letter written by Governor John Sevier to Captains Sparks and Wade, dated February 17, 1797. Sevier wrote this letter in regards to a conference the captains were preparing to hold with the settlers living within Indian lands. Sevier pleaded with Sparks and Wade to show compassion and tenderness towards those people, for they would soon be forced to relocate. |
