| Summary: | This document is a receipt for goods dated January 30, 1798. The receipt was given to Anthony Foster and pertained to goods given to two Cherokee Indians in reward for returning 10 stolen horses from the Creek Nation. Their payment of goods, not cash, included a rifle and powder, cloth, thread, buttons, and other domestic goods. The receipt was signed by Edmond Crutcher and Francis B. Sappington. |
