Summary:This is a letter dated February 6, 1831 to Susan Gallagher from her brother J. Baynard Snowden of Nashville, Tennessee. Snowden writes of a friend moving to Cincinnati, Ohio in order to protect his children from the effects of slavery. He also writes that he dined with President Andrew Jackson at the Hermitage.
